Ministry Internship in Colorado Springs

Step into ministry at Rock Family Church. Our Youth Ministry and Kids Ministry internships are built for people who want to learn by doing, grow in character, and make a real impact. If you’ve felt a tug toward ministry, this is your on-ramp—hands-on, deeply relational, and full of opportunities to serve.

You won’t be watching from the sidelines. You’ll help plan services, lead small groups, pray with people, and support key ministry moments every week. We’ll coach you, give helpful feedback, and champion you as you discover your gifts and your voice.

The Youth Ministry track focuses on reaching and discipling students. You’ll help create Wednesday-night environments that are welcoming and faith-building, learn how to lead small-group conversations, support campus outreach and events, and develop practical skills in areas like service flow, follow-up, and social media.

The Kids Ministry track centers on building a safe, joyful, Jesus-focused experience for children and their families. You’ll help shape engaging lessons, assist with worship and small groups, learn parent communication and check-in systems, and discover how to lead teams that create an excellent weekend for every child.

You’ll be mentored weekly by experienced leaders who care about your heart as much as your skill. Expect spiritual growth, leadership development, and real responsibility—with a team that’s for you. Our goal is to help you build healthy rhythms and habits that last beyond the internship.

By the end, you’ll have clarity about your calling, real ministry experience you can talk about, and a portfolio of wins—from events you helped run to people you invested in. You’ll also receive a pastoral reference and next-step guidance, whether that’s continued serving, staff opportunities, or Bible college/seminary pathways.

Who is this for? Teachable, servant-hearted people who love Jesus and love people—high school grads, college students, and career-shifters alike. You don’t need to be perfect; you just need a willing spirit, a growth mindset, and a desire to serve.

Time commitment is designed to be doable and meaningful. Most interns serve on Sundays and one midweek gathering, with an additional leadership/mentoring session each week. Exact schedules are flexible and set during your interview based on your track and availability.

Ready to jump in? Apply today and tell us your story, your availability, and which track interests you most. We’ll follow up to schedule a conversation, answer questions, and help you take your next step. Spots are limited—if you feel God stirring something in you, this is your moment to say yes.

This is an unpaid internship. Through this internship, you will gain the utmost experience and knowledge of what it truly means to serve and work in ministry.
